Job Description
The risk team is the gatekeeper for the business and is responsible for the full customer life-cycle from the initial lending decision, to the growth of the lending relationship. The team combines local knowledge, industry best practices and analytical mindsets to develop policies and strategies that allow the business to deliver best results in the industry.
The Model Risk Analyst
Model Evaluation and Validation:
- Assessing model inputs, outputs, and performance.
- Conducting model validation to ensure models are functioning as intended and remain fit-for-purpose
- Reviewing and validating models periodically to ensure they meet internal and external requirements
Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitoring model risk through key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensuring that risks are maintained within set limits
- Reporting on model risk metrics and providing insights on model performance and risk levels
Documentation and Communication:
- Documenting model validation processes and findings.
- Communicating model risk issues and validation results to stakeholders
Continuous Improvement:
- Identifying potential improvements in model risk management practices.
- Staying updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to model risk.
Providing complex information to senior stakeholders in a way that enables them to absorb key learnings and make effective business decisions.
