Job Description
Take care of the docking/undocking of all vessels calling at the port or as indicated by the Docking Supervisor. Play the role of crew on any marine vessel if required. Assist with marine vessel maintenance and shore support services as required. The candidate must have knowledge of placing ship’s moorings on hooks and abites. You should familiarize yourself with the various mooring systems used in the port. He/she should know the berth and berth numbering system, abite spacing and any other specific mooring-related requirements for the various berths, such as container berths, tank berths, coal, grain and oil berths, etc.
