The Key purpose of this role is to deliver products and containers in a safe and standardised way, promoting the company’s image.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the vehicle is always kept in good working order by observing the maintenance plan and completing the pre-inspection form before each trip

  • Ensure vehicle and cargo safety at all times and in all locations with full compliance with legal and company requirements with regard to safety and cleanliness

  • Ensuring that the product and container are delivered to the right place at the right time as per the delivery/pickup instructions and route plan

  • Ensure that all products and containers are accounted for, both at the place of loading and unloading, and the delivery documents are duly signed and issued

  • Observe the stipulated target for fuel consumption per 100 km

  • Ensure that bottle breaks are eliminated to zero, following the principles of safe driving

  • Ensure pre-trip inspection forms are filled out accurately, accurate fuel records are maintained, and fuel reports submitted on time in accordance with the process for submitting any DPO-related reports and requirements, such as SIO reports

  • Ensuring compliance with VPO standards in the safety pillar (use of PPE, traffic flow and reporting unsafe acts and conditions)

  • Keep the workplace safe and put Safety first

  • Apply the principles of 5S

  • Use troubleshooting tools

Key Attributes and Competencies

  • Be communicative, dynamic and responsible

  • Possess excellent interpersonal relationships

Minimum Requirements

  • Have a driving license Cat CE

  • Medium level education

  • 2 years experience as a driver
