Our client in Pemba is looking Assistant Control Room Operator to join their team within the Mining Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Control Room Operator in monitoring plant operations through SCADA/PLC systems and control panels.

  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities or alarms immediately.

  • Support the coordination of field operators to ensure smooth operation of the processing plant.

  • Record operational data, production figures, and incidents in logbooks or digital systems.

  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and operations teams regarding equipment status.

  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and company policies.

  • Support start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of plant processes under supervision.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical qualification in Process Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining/Metallurgy.

  • Basic knowledge of process plant operations and control systems (SCADA/PLC).

  • Previous experience in mining, processing plants, or industrial operations is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in shift rotations.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting systems).
