QC consultant – concrete foundations

Our client is a prestigious company that operates in the offshore construction sector.

FUNCTION

Reporting directly to the Project QC Manager, the main activities of the function include the following tasks: supervise quality control during the fabrication of five concrete foundations; ensure all works performed by the subcontractor comply with project specifications, drawings, and approved procedures; follow-up on Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) including Witness, Hold, and Monitor points; review fabrication records and final As-Built documentation; report and follow up on non-conformances; coordinate with subcontractors and project management teams; prepare weekly quality reports; ensure compliance with project quality procedures, HSE requirements, and reporting standards; support other QA/QC activities as assigned.

Requisitos

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fields is required;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance for civil works, construction, or energy infrastructure projects;
• Proven experience in concrete works, foundations, and testing procedures;
• Experience supervising subcontractor activities on site;
• Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and QA/QC processes;
• Strong reporting and documentation skills;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken);
• Availability for immediate mobilization;
• Knowledge of international quality standards and construction QA/QC procedures is an advantage;
• Previous experience at the Afungi site is highly preferred;
• This is a short-term assignment of 2 months, requiring immediate availability to mobilize to the project site.
• Mozambican nationality.
