HSSE Manager

Formulate and implement all HSSE related policies for DP World Maputo. Responsible for all functions of Security and Safety staff and to to set the frameworks within which they would work
Responsabilidades
- Responsible to follow the Safety guidelines of the DP World Maputo terminal
- Assist the HSSE team in conducting Risk Assessments, Controls and framing Standard operating procedures
- Train key process owners in detailed safety procedures so that they can impart the same to their respective departments
- Responsible to formulate the HSSE budget
- Takes part in investigations for incidents above a level 3 of risk using ICAM
- Involved in recommendation of disciplinary actions for person who do not abide by safety procedures
- Oversees all functions related to HSSE and keep it up to date with local laws and DP World Global Policies
- Attend weekly review meetings with COO and MD and represent HSSE department
- Report departmental activities and Key Performance Indicators to the COO
- Ensure economical, efficient, and productive use of the department’s equipment and manpower
- Motivate and encourage staff to achieve superior performance and reorganize achievements
- Manage the department’s financial, administrative, and personnel activities
- Establish and implement Performance Testing Standards and Best Practices for HSSE department
- Will coordinate with Designated Champions and HSE officers for training schedules.
Qualificações
- Experience in safety and security function in heavy engineering, energy, utilities related industry
- Preferable: 7 to 10 years
- Experience in managerial role
- Mandatory: 2 to 3 years
- Experience in port industry preferred
- Graduate/ Bachelors degree
- Preferable: Advanced study in management.
