JOB PURPOSE:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the company’s digital marketing initiatives across multiple online channels. This role manages social media platforms, supports lead generation campaigns, monitors digital performance, and contributes to building brand awareness through engaging and compliant digital content.

In addition to digital marketing responsibilities, the role includes a significant translation component, ensuring that marketing, product, and member communication materials are accurately translated from English into Portuguese. The coordinator will adapt content to align with Mozambican healthcare terminology, regulatory requirements, and the company’s brand voice.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Digital Marketing Coordination

  • Manage the digital content calendar and ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Support digital marketing execution through paid campaigns, SEO, email marketing, website tracking, and funnel optimization.
  • Coordinate campaign delivery with internal teams and external partners, while monitoring trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.

Translation

  • Translate medical aid, insurance, clinical, and corporate content from English to Portuguese with accuracy and clarity.
  • Adapt translated content for the Mozambican market, ensuring cultural relevance and compliance with healthcare and insurance regulations.
  • Review, edit, and maintain translated materials, glossaries, and terminology databases to ensure consistency and technical correctness.

Content Creation & Brand Alignment

  • Develop and coordinate digital content, including copy, design briefs, and short-form content ideas.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure content is medically accurate and compliant.
  • Ensure all content remains aligned with the company’s brand voice and style guidelines.

Content Development

  • Develop educational and informational content for members and support broader content needs.
  • Create internal communication materials and assist with clinical communication where required.
  • Adapt marketing, website, and product content into Portuguese while maintaining the brand voice.

Social Media Management

  • Manage and grow the company’s social media channels across relevant platforms.
  • Create, schedule, and publish educational, engaging, and compliant social media content.
  • Monitor comments and messages, encourage community engagement, and maintain a professional brand tone.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on key digital KPIs, including website traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates.
  • Prepare monthly digital performance reports with clear, actionable insights.
  • Monitor performance trends and recommend optimizations to improve digital marketing results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12) required; relevant diploma/degree in Marketing or Communications advantageous.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in digital marketing and social media management.
  • Proven experience managing social media channels.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating campaign execution, content creation, and measurable results.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite, Google Ads.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and basic conversion tracking.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Email marketing platform experience (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Suite).
  • Experience with translation management or CAT tools is advantageous.
