Our client in Pemba is looking for Engineer to join their team within the IT Sector.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure
- Provide technical support to users (onsite and remote) for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Manage and monitoras networks (LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, switches)
- Administer servers and systems (Windows Server/Linux environments)
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access control
- Support Microsoft 365 / cloud services and related applications
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures (firewalls, antivirus, patching)
- Perform routine system backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices and tools
- Proficiency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English
