Our client in Maputo is looking for IT Support Manager to join their team within the IT Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems
  • Support daily IT operations across mining sites and offices
  • Supervise IT support staff and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
  • Monitor network performance (LAN/WAN, VSAT, fiber, and wireless systems)
  • Support enterprise systems such as ERP, HR, and financial systems
  • Ensure cybersecurity measures are implemented and maintained (firewalls, antivirus, access control)
  • Assist in IT project planning and implementation (system upgrades, deployments, digital transformation initiatives).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network management
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs)
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux systems, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Familiarity with mining or industrial IT environments is an advantage
