Our client in Cabo delgado is looking for a Chief Security Officer to join their team within the Mining Sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate security strategy aligned with business objectives
- Advise executive leadership on security risks, threats, and mitigation plans
- Conduct regular threat and vulnerability assessments (physical and operational)
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site security
- Lead internal investigations related to theft, fraud, misconduct, and security breaches
- Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management plans
- Manage security-related contracts and vendor performance
- Build strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Military Science, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
- 12–18 years of experience in security management, with at least 8–10 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience in the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors
- Strong background in corporate security, investigations, and risk management
