Our client in Maputo is looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their team within the FMCG Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement of goods and services required for business operations.
- Request and compare supplier quotations, issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
- Monitor stock levels and support product replenishment activities.
- Organize procurement documentation, contracts, invoices, and reports.
- Work closely with the Logistics, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Assist with import processes, inventory activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and financial control procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree or ongoing studies in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, or Retail is an advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and inventory management skills.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Fluency in Portuguese; English proficiency will be considered an advantage.
- Proactive, responsible, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
