To provide strategic oversight of security operations across all operations in Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe by developing, implementing, and managing security plans that ensure the comprehensive protection of production facilities, personnel, and assets by evaluating risks, defining security protocols, and driving compliance with regulatory and operational standards.

Responsabilidades

Develop and effective strategy for the Production environment and ensure the implementation and adherence thereof
Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard production facilities, personnel, and assets by defining risk mitigation measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and integrating best practices
Manage security personnel and resources by planning security coverage, assigning security teams, and monitoring security deployment to ensure effective site protection
Conduct security risk assessments regularly by researching threats, evaluating vulnerabilities, and benchmarking security measures to identify and mitigate potential risks
Implement emergency response procedures by defining crisis management protocols, training personnel, and coordinating with response teams to minimise operational disruptions
Monitor and maintain security systems and equipment by liaising with service providers, evaluating system effectiveness, and implementing upgrades to enhance surveillance and access control
Secure manufacturing facilities by controlling facility access, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents to prevent unauthorized entry and safeguard critical assets
Define and implement physical security measures by allocating security resources, developing access control procedures, and ensuring perimeter protection to maintain a secure environment
Manage security compliance and reporting by monitoring adherence to safety regulations, conducting audits, and reporting incidents to ensure regulatory compliance and operational transparency
Liaise with external security agencies by coordinating response strategies, sharing intelligence, and implementing joint security initiatives to enhance facility protection
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Drive continuous improvement in security operations by analysing incident reports, researching emerging threats, and implementing best practices to strengthen risk management frameworks
Implement corrective actions and provide feedback to improve security systems and incident response strategies
Identify and support opportunities for services and process improvements through ongoing interactions with the team and stakeholders
Security risk management, compliance, and crisis response across multiple sites, ensuring consistency in security protocols and adherence to both corporate and local security regulations
Ensure the upkeep the EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and Meridian Group security policies and procedures
Initiate and conduct audits and assurance activities to ensure security standards are adhered to across all operations
Develop and maintain security compliance liaison with government officials and regulatory bodies
Implement and guide the organisation on security policies, ensuring consistent adherence across teams and operations
Ensure that the individual performance management discussions are completed within the policy guidelines recorded and followed through on personal development areas
Maintain a positive work climate and culture to energise employees, give meaning to work, minimise work disruption and maximise employee productivity
