Funções
- Ensure compliance to the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management Plan
- Support the Company’s Critical Hazard Management to ensure all critical risks are identified and effectively controlled
- Support HSE Department and advise the work areas in implementing HSE Policies and Procedures
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the Workforce Health, Safety & Environment Representatives
- Actively contribute to the HSE audit process to ensure all non-compliances are identified and reported in a timely manner
- Support the Operation Fitness for Work and Fatigue Management Programs
- Provide induction and other HSE related trainings to employees, contractors and community when required
- Performing inspections and Audits to ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
- Informing workers of potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks
- Writing reports detailing accident investigations and conclusions in order to inform future safety measures
- Consulting with management to develop policies and procedures Health, Safety and Environment programs
- Prepare, develop, and participate in Health, Safety and Environment campaigns as required
- Preparing reports about Health, Safety and Environment conditions at work or industry sector
- Monitoring compliance with safety regulations and providing training on safe work practices to employees
- Record and investigate injuries or illnesses that occur at work to identify potential hazards or patterns of unsafe work practices; VISIBLE LEADERSHIP
- Support the Leadership Team and key Contract Partners to comply with all associated requirements of the Infield Visible Felt Leadership Program
- Lead by example and share pertinent HSE information during all Infield Interactions to ensure frontline leaders remain informed and accountable in achieving the HSE goals and standards of the business
- Actively contribute to Toolbox meetings and Health & Safety awareness sessions
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to Mozambique workforce in the requirements of Health Safety and Environment
- Identify and recommend best practice initiatives to reduce risk, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices
- Ensure own behavior is always aligned with the Company Values and inspire others to align with this framework also
- Complete any other duties and responsibilities as required
Requisitos
- Qualifications
- Engineering degree
- NEBOSH International Diploma; NEBOSH International General Certificate and or SAMTRAC plus Environmental Engineering, or equivalent; Skills/ Experience
- Previous operational experience in Health, Safety & Environment, preferable mining, construction or heavy industry
- Investigation Training Qualifications – Taproot, ICAM or equivalent
- Proven exposure to IMS of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards systems and processes
- High level of verbal communication in both English and Portuguese
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, presentation and report writing skills
- Ability to work cohesively with and influence other stakeholders
- Exposure and understanding of relevant Mozambican legislation and regulations
- Certified Internal Auditor (highly desirable)
- Qualified in Senior First Aid (highly desirable)
- Minimum of five (05) years experiences in HSE fields
- Strong communication and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and technical skills in risk management from their extensive work experience as a qualified specialist; and experience the development and implementation of HSE and Quality management systems
