Director of the Department of Consulting, Auditing, Training and Certification in QHSE & Lifting

Reports to:

General Manager of the company

1. About the Role

The Director of the QHSE & Lifting Consulting, Auditing, Training and Certification Department will be primarily responsible for the strategic development, technical leadership and commercial growth of the business unit. It will be responsible for ensuring excellence in the provision of consulting services, audits, certifications, inspections, specialized training and technical solutions in the areas of Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) and Lifting as well as the quality of the services provided by the Department of Industrial Maintenance and Engineering.

The professional must have high technical knowledge, leadership skills, strategic vision, strong orientation towards results and ability to develop high value-added solutions for clients in Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, Construction, Ports, Logistics, Industry and Infrastructure sectors.

2. Main Responsibilities

• Lead technically and administratively the entire department.
• Define annual growth strategies for the Department and prepare operational and commercial plans.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of consultants, auditors and instructors.
• Develop new consultancy and certification services and coordinate highly complex national projects
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and manage consulting contracts.
• Develop strategic relationships with customers, identify business opportunities and negotiate high value contracts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with national and international legal requirements.
• Oversee internal, external and certification audits, develop continuous improvement programs and coordinate corporate training.
• Prepare and control performance indicators (KPIs), produce executive reports for General Management, represent the company before customers, partners, regulatory bodies and certifying entities.

2.1. Specific and Technical Responsibilities

The Director must have proven ability to coordinate and supervise services of:

2.1.1. Consulting

• Integrated Management Systems and implementation of ISO Systems.
• Organizational Diagnostics, Risk Management, Safety Culture, Due Diligence in QHSE.
• Procedure Development (SOP), Technical Studies of rigging and lifting.
• Interpret applicable international standards and coordinate inspection, testing, traceability, certification and technical reporting processes.

2.1.2. Audits

• Internal Audits and Legal Compliance Audits, ISO Audits, Safety Audits, Environmental Audits and Lifting Audits.
• Annual Audit Planning, Audit Program Administration.

2.1.3. Certification

• Certification of accessories for lifting loads and people, including slings, synthetic straps, steel cables, grade 80 and grade 100 chains, shackles, hooks, eyebolts, rockers, rigging equipment, cargo handling equipment.

2.1.4. Training

Coordinate and deliver training in QHSE, Lifting, Rigging, Banksman/Signalman, Heavy Equipment and Lifting Operators, Equipment Inspection, Accident Investigation, Risk Management, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 31000, ISO 19011, Work at Height, Confined Spaces, Locking and Labeling (LOTO), Fire Fighting, First Aid, Safety Leadership among other complementary training aligned with QHSE and lifting.

3. Mandatory Technical Skills

The candidate must have proven experience in:

1.  At least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental, Civil Engineering, Safety Engineering, Human Resources M
2. At least 4 years of experience in Consulting ianagement with HSE qualification and NEBOSH certification.n Integrated Management Systems and ISO Audits.
3. Administration of annual audit programs and strategic planning of audits.
4. Project management and Contract management with customers.
5. Certification of lifting accessories.
6. Elaboration of operational procedures
7. Risk management, Preparation of action plans.

Technical training of HSE trainers, Team coordination, Operational management, Commercial management.
