Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in operating Self-Propelled Modular Transporters.
- Basic safety training or equivalent training; (Fagioli will train upon hiring and give a yearly refresher).
- Preferably a secondary degree with a technical main subject.
Job Duties:
- Reports to the SPMT Supervisor or Transport Superintendent.
- Performs as directed all the works executed with the SPMT.
- Performs as directed the daily and weekly inspections and maintenance of the SPMT.
- Reports the faults and, if necessary, performs repairs where necessary as directed.
- Participates in the pre-job and safety meetings with the Transport Superintendent at the start of each day (toolbox meetings) or before the commencement of a job or task.
- Install any additional SPMT lashings and lifting beams under the supervision of the SPMT Supervisor or Transport Superintendent as required, following the details shown in the technical transport drawings.
- Operates the SPMT in a safe manner as directed by the SPMT Supervisor or Transport Superintendent.
- Trains and mentors inexperienced SPMT Operators when required.
