Activities
The ROV Specialist will be responsible for supporting the setup and smooth execution of ROV operations for the Development Project.
Key activities include:
- Setting up the ROV contract for the Development Project;
- Participating in the ROV spread integration on different drilling support vessels, including Drillships and Supply Vessels;
- Establishing operational procedures for the safe deployment of ROV units from Drillships and Assistance Supply Vessels;
- Managing the different ROV units in order to avoid waiting time, particularly through the effective use of the Assistance Vessel;
- Participating in the establishment of procedures for testing the BOP panel at surface as an acceptance test for either the BOP or the ROV system;
- Establishing procedures for the deployment of acoustic beacons for rig positioning or station keeping;
- Establishing operational procedures for drilling with mud return to the seabed;
- Establishing procedures for subsea activation tools, particularly to meet CR requirements;
- Identifying and mobilizing specific ROV tools deemed necessary for the smooth and efficient execution of operations;
- Controlling the proper maintenance and/or repair of the different ROV units and equipment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Smooth and efficient ROV operations are one of the key factors for the success of a Subsea Development Project.
The ROV Specialist shall ensure that:
- ROV equipment is always available and in good working condition;
- ROV units are properly maintained and ready for deployment;
- ROV systems are suitable for different types of subsea interventions;
- Operations are carried out safely and efficiently;
- Potential operational delays related to ROV availability or equipment condition are minimized.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree in Engineering;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar assignment;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
- Good team spirit;
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and offshore operational environments.
