Tractor-Trailer Driver

CBE Southern Africa is seeking an experienced Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team in supporting specialized oil and gas logistics in Afungi. The successful candidate will operate articulated heavy tractor-trailers to safely haul, transport, and deliver machinery, containers, and site equipment across remote, high-compliance environments.

• – Safely operate heavy tractor-trailer units across site, regional, and long-distance routes;
• – Perform fifth-wheel coupling and uncoupling of semi-trailers, including air-line and electrical system connections;
• – Inspect tractor and trailer units pre-trip and post-trip (tyres, air brakes, steering, lighting, coupling mechanisms);
• – Ensure correct distribution, tie-down, and securing of heavy cargo, containers, and materials;
• – Comply with site speed limits, safety protocols, and route restrictions within the oil and gas project area;
• – Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery documentation;
• – Immediately report mechanical failures, accidents, or transit delays to site logistics supervisors;

• – Valid Heavy Commercial Vehicle License (Code CE or equivalent for articulated vehicles);
• – 3 to 5 years of verified experience driving heavy tractor-trailer / semi-trailer trucks;
• – Proven experience in the Oil & Gas or heavy logistics sector;
• – Demonstrated mastery of coupling mechanisms, air brake operation, and heavy load distribution;
• – High level of personal responsibility, safety awareness, and punctuality;
