PUMP OPERATOR

1. Context & Environment

Our client, active in the oil and gas sector, is looking for a Pump Operator to join its offshore operations team.

The role supports gravel-pack pumping and mixing operations on offshore rigs and includes equipment preparation, mobilization and demobilization between the base and the rigs.

2. The Role

Operate and maintain pumping equipment during mixing and gravel-pack operations offshore, delivering accurate rates and pressures in compliance with approved operational and safety procedures.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of engines, instrumentation, sensors, lifting equipment and safety devices to ensure operational integrity and readiness;

  • Conduct commissioning activities, system diagnostics and functional tests to verify equipment readiness for operations;

  • Operate equipment during mixing and gravel-pack operations offshore, ensuring accurate rates and pressures are delivered;

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair the fluid end, safety devices and engine;

  • Conduct rig-up and rig-down activities for high-pressure lines and hoses in accordance with approved operational and safety procedures;

  • Manage the repair-parts inventory and spare-parts records, and support equipment mobilization and demobilization to and from offshore rigs.

4. Profile

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of offshore well-service equipment (level to be confirmed with the client).

Technical Skills

  • Operation of pumping equipment during mixing and gravel-pack operations (rates and pressures);

  • Inspection, troubleshooting and repair of fluid ends, engines and safety devices;

  • Commissioning, system diagnostics and functional testing;

  • Rig-up and rig-down of high-pressure lines and hoses;

  • Spare-parts inventory management.

Certifications

  • Offshore safety and training requirements to be confirmed with the client.

Languages

  • Portuguese;

  • English.

5. Job Conditions

  • Offshore, rig-based position with mobilization between the base and the rigs;

  • Rotation, contract terms and accommodation to be confirmed.
