MOZQUARRIES is recruiting one (1) Administration and Communications Officer for Pemba, Cabo Delgado.

Primary responsibility

The Administration & Internal Communications Officer will play a key role in ensuring smooth organizational operations, delivering impact online presentations, and strengthening internal communication channels. This position requires excellent organizational skills, digital proficiency, and the ability to craft clear and engaging messages for diverse audiences. The ability to interpret information given and turn that detail into meaningful graphs and diagrams for ease.

Duties and responsibilities

Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, schedules, and documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and draft minutes.
  • Maintain filing systems, databases, and records.
  • Support HR and finance teams with administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage CEO/COO calendar activities.

Online Presentations

  • Design, prepare, and deliver professional online presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for webinars, virtual meetings, and online events.
  • Train staff on effective use of presentation tools (PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Ensure presentations align with organizational branding and messaging.

Internal Communication

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies.
  • Draft and distribute newsletters, announcements, and updates.
  • Maintain and update intranet content.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to improve collaboration.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Manage a communications register of all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Manage the company’s social media presence, including content creation and engagement with followers.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in their communications efforts.
  • Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts and make recommendations for improvement.

Skills and competencies

  • Excellent use of both English and Portuguese is mandatory.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills which enables to write and edit presentations clearly and concisely as required.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills which enable working collaboratively with a variety of people and positions.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite including PPT, Word, Excel, Teams, Zoom and other digital tools.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise.
  • Proven experience in administration and presentations.
  • Digital Literacy and adaptability to new tools.

Education & experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Communications, or in any other related or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in administration, internal communications, corporate communications, or executive support within a professional or corporate environment roles, or similar positions.
  • Experience within Board papers and formal documents.
