Our client in Maputo is looking for Assistant Supervisor for Live Chicken Reception to join their team for a job vacancy within the Poultry Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the organization and execution of the unloading and reception of live chicken, ensuring a continuous flow for slaughter.
- Oversee compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Animal Welfare protocols.
- Monitor performance indicators (mortality, missing birds, number of chickens per hour, Animal Welfare, among others).
- Fill out checklists to check hygiene and physical structure and equipment.
- Assist in team management: organization of work plans, conflict resolution and operational feedback.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Report operational or structural anomalies to the main supervisor.
- Promote a collaborative, safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma at least.
- Know how to read and write.
- Basic computer knowledge from the user’s perspective (to deal with applications).
- Ability to work unsupervised once trained.
- Focused on results.
