Our Client is a prestigious company operating in the Oil & Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Operational Management and Sustainability: Agricultural Operations Oversight: Work closely with the Biofuel Explorer and field teams to supervise the daily operations of agricultural projects, focusing on project delivery, sustainable farming practices and small-scale farmer projects; Co-benefit Assurance: Implement, monitor and report programs that ensure tangible social and environmental co-benefits, aligned with ESG principles and sustainable development; Social Performance Management: Lead the execution of the project’s Social Performance strategy, including community engagement, grievance management, and social impact monitoring; Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all operations are in full compliance with local and international ESG regulations, preparing detailed progress reports for leadership; Institutional Representation and Licensing: Institutional Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact and project representative with ministries, private sector, civil society organizations, regulatory agencies, and other governmental authorities. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key partners, including NGOs, industry associations, and investors, to promote project objectives; Licensing and Permits: Manage and conduct the process of obtaining and renewing licenses, concessions, and permits necessary for project operations; Strategic Communication: Represent the project at forums, meetings, and events, clearly and professionally communicating the progress, impacts, and commitment of the company to sustainability.

Requisitos

  • Master’s degree in Business, Agronomy, Economy, Rural Development, or related areas;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English. French is an asset;
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience;
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in Social Performance and/or implementation of ESG and co-benefit strategies, including livelihood restoration and income generation initiatives;
  • Knowledge of the agriculture and biofuels market and its impacts;
  • Institutional relations and licensing processes in Mozambique or countries with a similar context;
  • Project management skills with capacity to work with multi-disciplinary experts (technical, economic, finance, commercial);
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary to engage local and regional stakeholders;
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and institutional representation skills;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, with a cross-functional and delocalized team;
  • Synthetic and analytical mind, strength of conviction, perseverance;
  • Flexible mindset and autonomy are needed.
