We are seeking a dedicated Catering Supervisor to be based in Mozambique to manage the daily operations of our food and beverage services. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional quality, hygiene standards, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating catering events, managing inventory, and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food and beverage staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
- Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of catering events.
- Monitor food presentation and quality to ensure consistency and standards.
- Manage inventory, place orders, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Train, mentor, and schedule staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to plan menus and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within food & beverage or catering services.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in inventory and staff scheduling software is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
