Our client in Afungi is looking for Check in Service Agent to join their team for a job vacancy within the Air Transport Sector.
Responsibilities
- Check-in Services: Greet passengers, verify travel documents (e.g., passports, visas, tickets), issue boarding passes, and assist with seat assignments and check-in procedures.
- Booking Management: Process flight reservations, cancellations, and itinerary changes using airline reservation systems.
- Customer Assistance: Respond to passenger inquiries regarding flight schedules, routes, baggage policies, and airport facilities. Resolve issues related to delays, cancellations, or lost/damaged luggage.
- Baggage Handling: Check and tag luggage, ensure compliance with weight and size restrictions, and coordinate with ground crew for efficient baggage transport.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a secondary school certificate (e.g., Grade 12 or equivalent). A diploma or degree in customer service, hospitality, tourism, or business administration is preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in Check-in Services is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer use, including airline reservation systems, email, and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing). Familiarity with airport management software is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Portuguese is highly desirable due to the international and regional context of Afungi Airport. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Swahili or French) is an advantage.
