Community Liasion Lead

Duties

• Lead and support teams of Community and Village Liaison Officers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, district authorities, and civil society organizations
• Ensure effective and timely communication of project information
• Implement engagement plans and community grievance response mechanisms
• Monitor community perceptions, resolve conflicts, and ensure the inclusion of vulnerable groups
• Coordinate with internal teams (construction, security, logistics) and project partners to align engagement efforts

Requisites

• 8–10 years of experience in complex environments, preferably in community engagement or development projects
• University degree in Social Sciences, Law, Sustainability, or related fields
• Strong leadership, coordination, and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in stakeholder communication and team management
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; knowledge of local languages (Kimwane, Makonde, Swahili, or Makua) is a plus
• Excellent communication, planning, and report-writing skills
