We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Compliance Manager to ensure our innovative digital bank operates within all regulatory frameworks while supporting responsible growth. This role is critical in building trust and safeguarding our institution in a fast-paced, paperless environment. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs specifically tailored to digital banking activities, including payments, digital onboarding, cybersecurity, fintech partnerships, and data privacy. The ideal candidate is not just a regulatory expert but also a strategic advisor who can translate complex rules into actionable policies for our digital platforms.
Responsabilidades
- Develop, maintain, and update the compliance management system (CMS) for a digital environment
- Integrate compliance requirements into the design and launch of new digital products, services, and technology partnerships (e.g., with fintechs or API providers)
- Advise business units (Product, Technology, Marketing, Risk) on regulatory requirements for digital initiatives, providing practical, risk-based solutions
- Lead investigations into suspicious activity reports (SARs) stemming from digital channels and ensure timely filing
- Monitor for fair lending risks in digital marketing and algorithmic credit decisioning models
- Assess compliance risks in vendor contracts and ongoing service delivery
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organization
- Manage the preparation, response, and remediation processes efficiently.
Qualificações
- 3–5 years of experience in compliance within the banking, microfinance or regulated financial sector
- Strong knowledge of Mozambican financial legislation, including Bank of Mozambique regulations, KYC/AML standards, anti-terrorism financing and data protection
- Experience implementing compliance policies, regulatory risk management and responding to audits
- Proven experience in legal analysis and drafting legal opinions
