O estudo tem como objectivo fornecer uma imagem pormenorizada de quem, quando e por que razão as crianças e os adolescentes abandonam a escola ou participam apenas com pouca frequência. Além disso, visa compreender os números absolutos e as taxas de prevalência de crianças e adolescentes que não frequentam a escola nas 12 comunidades, as barreiras que estes grupos enfrentam para regressar à aprendizagem e a forma como estas barreiras podem ser ultrapassadas, oferecendo, entre outros, caminhos flexíveis e múltiplos para a aprendizagem e a geração de rendimentos. Procura também compreender de que forma as deficiências afectam a frequência e a participação na escola e, finalmente, visa também compreender o impacto das intervenções da UNICEF e do PAM em termos de combate ao abandono escolar, à participação pouco frequente e ao facto de as crianças não frequentarem a escola/aprendizagem.
O estudo incidirá sobre as 12 comunidades alvo das intervenções do UNICEF-PAM em Palma, Cabo Delgado, e 5 comunidades em Macomia, com um número adicional de comunidades de controlo, e será dividido em duas fases:
- A primeira fase terá lugar entre Novembro de 2025 e Fevereiro de 2026 e centrar-se-á na recolha de dados primários e secundários que permitam o estabelecimento de uma linha de base qualitativa e quantitativa relacionada com crianças e adolescentes fora da escola/aprendizagem em Palma.
- A segunda fase terá lugar entre Agosto e Novembro de 2027 e centrar-se-á na recolha de dados primários e secundários que permitam o estabelecimento de uma linha de base qualitativa e quantitativa relacionada com as crianças e adolescentes fora da escola/da aprendizagem em Palma.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
Education: Nível de Mestrado em Educação, Ciências Sociais, Economia, incluindo estatísticas/elementos de pesquisa.
Work Experience:
- Pelo menos 5 anos de experiência em inquéritos quantitativos e qualitativos/colecta de dados /pesquisa – de preferência no sector do comunitário/ao nível escolar;
- Habilidade comprovada na redação documentos ou relatórios de alto nível;
- Excelentes habilidades comunicativas, interpessoais, de networking, analíticas e computacionais
- Habilidade na colaboração com e na construção de capacidade de intervenientes locais aos vários níveis.
Language Requirements: Fluente em português e bom conhecimento práctico em inglês.
Desirables:
- Experiência de trabalho com UNICEF ou outra agência da ONU em áreas relevantes em Mozambique/Africa seria uma vantagem.
- Fluente em línguas locais de Palma representa uma vantagem
