Control Room Operator ISBL
Role:
Safely and efficiently operate and control ISBL units (acid gas removal, dehydration, mercury removal, fractionation, boosting, refrigeration, LNG storage, BOG and LNG loading) from the Central Control Room (CCR) through the Integrated Control Safety System (ICSS) as per the approved operating procedures and according to Control Room Supervisor instructions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Start up the process units and equipment falling within the ISBL as per start up procedures relevant to Black/Cold/Hot start up;
- Operate and monitor the process units and equipment falling within the ISBL through the ICSS safely, efficiently and within the Integrity Operating Windows;
- Report any faults or defects within ISBL, and where necessary take the 1st line action to correct any abnormal situation to limit risk to personnel, plant equipment and production during emergency situations;
- Proactively propose corrective actions to prevent incidents and escalations;
- Shut down process and equipment safely as per shutdown procedures when required;
- Monitor & effectively Control the consumption of chemicals and other plant utilities;
- Follow-up routine and non-routine laboratory samples results and take appropriate action in order to sustain the LNG product quality within the design intent and report abnormalities to the CCR Supervisor; Participate in operating procedures continuous improvement and relevant improvement initiatives by providing the inputs necessary to update them in frequent basis;
- Support maintenance activities within the ISBL by shutting down equipment /process units and preparing them for maintenance intervention in cooperation with the Field Operators;
- Support turnaround activities by shutting down the facility safely, preparing the process and equipment for maintenance/inspection activities, carrying out the tests mandated by the turnaround plan, preparing the process and equipment for restart and safely restart the facility after the turnaround completion;
- Ensure proper shift hand over and reporting to the next shift;
- Ensure being updated with the latest standing instructions, modifications and procedures;
- Participate effectively in alarm management system and alarm rationalization exercise;
- Support operation-training program by supporting the ICSS Operator trainees during their OJT (On Job Training);
- Participate in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc of Engineering or Science: Minimum 6 years of experience, out of them 4 years in LNG industry;
- High Technical School: Minimum 9 years of experience, out of them 5 years in LNG industry;
- Hands on operation experience in DCS & SIS systems.
