The Cathodic or Corrosion Protection Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and supporting the installation of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems for storage tanks, ensuring that all installation activities comply with approved engineering drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and quality requirements.

Responsabilidades
- • Inspect the installation of MMO ribbon anodes and conductor bars beneath tank foundations.
- • Verify anode grid positioning, installation depth and compliance with approved layout drawings.
- • Inspect resistance spot welding of MMO ribbons and conductor bars.
- • Inspect the installation of Transformer Rectifier units, cable routing, junction boxes and test boxes.
- • Verify the installation of reference electrodes and their cable connections to test boxes.
- • Inspect tank cable connections and verify electrical resistance measurements against the project acceptance criteria.
- • Check cable integrity and ensure satisfactory connections are properly encapsulated.
- • Complete installation checklists, record inspection results and report non-conformities.
- • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality procedures and HSE requirements.
Qualificações
- • Degree, Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Engineering.
- • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Cathodic Protection experience.
- • NACE/AMPP CP 2 certification.
- • Practical experience in the installation and inspection of impressed current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems.
- • Knowledge of MMO ribbon anodes, conductor bars, Transformer Rectifiers, reference electrodes, junction boxes and test boxes.
- • Ability to interpret technical drawings, installation procedures and inspection checklists.
- • Experience with storage tank Cathodic Protection systems is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of ICCP systems and their components, including MMO ribbon anodes, conductor bars, reference electrodes and transformer rectifier (TR) units.
- Ability to identify installation defects and report non-conformities.
- Knowledge of inspection and quality control procedures.
- Understanding of electrical safety requirements and HSE procedures.
