A Selected Supplies pretende recrutar um (1) Country Procurement Planner 

Location: Beira (Local Nationals Only)

Eligibility: Mozambican nationals or individuals with existing legal right to work in Mozambique.

Department: Supply Chain & Procurement

Hours of Work:
07:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
08:00 – 12:00, Saturday.

Job Purpose:

Own and optimize end-to-end materials planning, purchasing, and inventory control to ensure the right stock is available at the right time and cost. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and clear communication with suppliers, logistics partners, finance, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run demand planning cycles using ERP (e.g., SAP) and Excel—update forecasts and maintain item master data;
  • Generate and release purchase orders based on approved forecasts, safety stock, and reorder parameters; align with budget and working-capital targets;
  • Track all open POs to ensure on-time delivery (OTD); expedite, defer, or cancel as needed to meet service levels while minimizing excess stock;
  • Prepare weekly/monthly inventory and procurement dashboards—stock levels, days of supply (DOS), ageing/slow-movers, stockout risk, and supplier OTIF performance;
  • Liaise directly with suppliers for delivery commitments, lead-time reductions, and quality/commercial escalations, drive corrective actions on late or non-conforming deliveries;
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Finance for inbound shipments, customs documentation, GRV, invoice queries, and landed-cost capture, ensuring accurate ETAs and audit-ready compliance;
  • Execute cycle counts and full stock counts; investigate variances and implement corrective actions to sustain inventory accuracy targets;
  • Identify and deliver cost‑saving opportunities (price, terms, logistics, packaging optimization) without compromising quality or service;
  • Maintain procurement ethics and HSSE standards; ensure safe material handling and adherence to company and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in materials planning / inventory control / procurement, and/or a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field;
  • Hands‑on ERP experience (SAP MM preferred; Oracle / Dynamics acceptable) and strong Excel (PivotTables, lookup/index‑match, basic forecasting);
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak); Portuguese proficiency is a strong advantage;
  • Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability;
  • Clear communicator with suppliers and cross‑functional teams; able to escalate and negotiate effectively;
  • Practical understanding of import documentation, Incoterms, and basic customs processes;
  • Ability to work on‑site in Beira with occasional travel.
