Our client in Afungi is looking for Electrical & Electronics Engineers to join their team for a job vacancy within the Air Transport Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and maintain AGL systems, including runway, taxiway, and approach lighting.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in AGL circuits, control systems, and associated equipment.
- Ensure compliance with aviation standards (e.g., ICAO, IACM) Perform routine testing and calibration of lighting systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Coordinate with air traffic control during maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on standby and prime power generators.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in generator systems.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with specific expertise in AGL, generators, and/or UPS systems.
- Prior experience in aviation or airport operations is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing AGL systems, including constant current regulators and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of generator systems (diesel/gas), including alternators, control panels, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
