Montepuez Ruby Mining Lda. is seeking to hire one (1) Instrumentation Engineer to monitor, control, and supervise the automation and instrumentation systems of the Processing Plant. The successful candidate should also be capable of managing electrical operation and maintenance activities conducted within or related to the plant.

Work Location: Namanhumbir, Montepuez, Cabo Delgado.

Responsibilities:

• Install/replace/troubleshooting of motor control panels, workshop/utility panels, PLC/SCADA/Instruments panels and control panel components like power supplies, transformers, switch gears, breakers, contactor, relay and cable termination in panels.
• Keep generator, lighting, maintenance, electrical and instrumentation systems in order. Diagnose and repair/replace defective parts.
• Instrument installation, periodic calibration, condition monitoring, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Make periodic inspection for all electrical and instrumentation services (SVDC, 24VDC, 110VAC, 240VAC and 430VAC).
• Operate a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis.
• Maintain records and logs as needed.
• Perform other various tasks as instructed by superiors.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument & Electrical and Control System Engineering.
• Vast work experience in instrumentation engineering and design for processing/beneficiation plant, Petroleum and Refinery Units, Chemical/Petrochemical/Fertilizer plants etc.
• Good experience in handling projects like developing Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) Packages, executing Detailed Engineering services.
• Experience as Team Leader – At least 4 projects, team size of 10+.
• Work share project execution experience.
• Knowledge of national/international electrical codes and standards.
• Rich knowledge and experience in specifications, selection, design and engineering of DCS/ESD/PLC/SCADA system.
• Fully conversant of In Tools (SPI) various modules like index, specification, wiring and installation etc.
• Good knowledge of the application of computer aided design tools.
• Hands on experience on Preparation of specifications for all instrumentation items like DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, Anti-Surge Control, Tank Gauging system, Machine Monitoring System, Machine Protection System, Process Analyzers, Control Valves, ESD Valves with advanced diagnostics, On Off valves, Safety Relief Valves, PRDS, Weighing System, Flowmeters, and various types of field instruments etc.
• Good knowledge on HAZOP / SIL Study including SIL calculation.
• Hands on experience of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of various systems like DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, etc.
• Hands on experience on PLC software language, ladder logic.
• Sizing of Various instrument items like flow element, control valve, safety relief valve, density meter, pneumatic valves etc.
• Hands-on experience in handling instrumentation of critical packages like compressors, blowers, fire heaters etc.
• Detailed engineering to develop various instrumentation layouts.
• Detailed engineering to develop various instrumentation documents like Logic Diagram, Control Narrative, Instrumented Protection Function Narratives, wiring connection details and loop diagrams.
• Manpower Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control skills.
• Ability to interact with other design groups in the office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Compliance with budget, schedule, and quality within allocated resources.
