Action Against Hunger is a recognized humanitarian association as public utility and founded in 1979, the organization operates in 47 countries in the fields of nutrition, health, food safety and livelihood, water, hygiene and sanitation and mental health and care practices. As part of our programs, we are currently looking for:
- Finance & Hr Senior Officer (Internal Vacancy)
- Contract duration: 3 Months (Renewable subject to funding availability)
- Number of positions: 1 Position
- Receiving base: Macomia
- Availability: Immediate
- Special Conditions: Nampula & Cabo Delgado Residents
- Remuneration: 82,215.00 (Gross monthly Income) and 13th Month paid in December (prorate depending on the starting date)
- Benefits: Health insurance including partner and children (providing certificates); 2 days per month paid leaves
Objective:
Ensure the effective management of financial and human resources functions, aligning with internal policies, Mozambican labor regulations, and donor guidelines.
Specific objectives (not complete):
Objective 1: Management of the bank accounting book (when applicable)
- Prepare the payments by bank transfer in a timely manner and after review of documents supporting the payment ;
- Register all payments in the accounting book with all the required financial information;
- Make the bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
Objective 2: Finance and Accounting
- Review the accounting cash book and ensuring that all financial entries are recorded;
- Ensure all supporting documents are available;
- Support the finance team in the filing of the field office accountancy;
- Make the Cash reconciliation on a week/monthly basis;
- Ensure the sub-base accounts are closed on time.
Objective 3: Support the Finance Manager
- Support the Finance Manager in the Budget Follow-up Management
- Support the Finance Manager in all the Financial and Administrative activities of the field office when required
Objective 4: Human Resources Administration
- Maintain and update employee files, contracts, leave records, and payroll information.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and national labor regulations.
- Support recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
- Organize performance appraisals and training plans for employees.
Objective 5: Payroll & Compliance
- Prepare and process the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Calculate and submit social security and income tax payments.
- Ensure that all employee benefits and entitlements are correctly administered.
Objective 6: Employee Support & Compliance
- Provide HR support to employees and ensure adherence to institutional policies.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of financial and HR documents.
- Assist expatriate staff with visa and work permit processes.
- This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. Some others responsibilities / tasks can be added, according to the activities and after validation by the Superiors.
Diploma / Level of study:
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or a related field, Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and HR roles.
Required skills:
- Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
- Good knowledge of Mozambican labor laws and intermediate English skills.
