Duties & Responsibilities

Job description
It is expected from an excavator operator the below:

  • Digging of trenches, holes, foundations, ditches, and underground excavation.
  • Digging of drains and drain maintenance
  • Bush cutting
  • Material Handling
  • Forestry work
  • River dredging
  • Forestry mulching
  • Demolition with hydraulic claw, cutter, and breaker attachments
  • Driving piles
  • Debris removal

Job Advert Summary

The Excavator Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, to perform various tasks such as excavation, trenching, and grading. This role ensures that all operations are conducted in accordance with safety protocols, project specifications, and environmental guidelines. The operator plays a key role in preparing construction sites, moving earth, and contributing to the overall progress of construction and excavation projects.

Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
