An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to handle all general administration and financial duties such as creditors and debtors, problem solving and maintaining filing system. Under general supervision, performs clerical accounting procedures requiring familiarity with and experience in, accounting office practices as well as knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications. Assigns codes, identifies accounts and prepares data transaction sheets. Analyses and audits various accounts. Posts, checks and proofs entries to general ledger and accounts. May also be responsible for verifying and processing accounts payable.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Must be prepared to work overtime if required

• An excellent ability to work in a team and create team co-operation

• Deadline orientated and ability to co-ordinate the various activities related to the creditors functions

• Grade 12 with a relevant Accounting qualification

• Exposure to financial systems (X3 would be advantageous)

• Computer literate – Basic Excel, Word and Outlook

• Previous experience in full creditors / debtors functions is essential (min 2 year)

• Excellent problem solving abilities

• Be able to work without supervision

• Good numeric skills and high level of accuracy with the attention to detail
