Responsibilities:

  • Product Management of Letters of Credit (LC) Confirmations, Inward Bank Guarantees & LC, LC Refinancing, Irrevocably Reimbursement Undertaking (IRU), Trade Loans and Risk Participations.
  • To drive and manage Trade products performance and profitability.
  • To coordinate, influence and drive the value chain to deliver the Product capability within TPS’s defined risk parameters and, within regulatory requirements and in line with client expectations.
  • To ensure that we provide appropriate and relevant Trade Solutions & product capability to clients.
  • To support the execution of TPS business strategy and generate revenue for TPS.
  • Develop and implement Financial Institutions Trade Products strategy and operating plan which includes revenue pools, competitor’s analysis, client segments, and product development.
  • Own and sponsor significant enhancements to Trade Products capabilities.
  • Equip the various product Sales teams with the appropriate levels of product knowledge to allow them to confidently sell Trade solutions on both a standalone or as part of integrated working capital solutions.
  • Provide guidance and drive collaboration with various teams, working closely with business partners to maximise cross product opportunities across the bank.
  • Responsible for Trade product operationalization and channel management.
  • Responsible for Trade product end to end delivery and technology stack oversight in a manner that is meeting client requirement and enhancing client experience.
  • Producing insights and MIS that provides a view of market opportunity, product revenue and profitability by client and product.
  • Communicate the product strategy and drive the execution through the value chain.
  • Responsible for enhancing the profitability of TPS product i.e. driving revenue growth through enhancing product capability, new product capability, pricing, supporting Sales with product solutions; managing costs by working with Operations, IT and other enabling partners to identify and execute efficiency and cost saving initiatives.
  • Respond to complex deals.
  • Creation and maintenance of TPS product collateral.
  • Responsibility for delivering increase in product revenue pools through positioning, pricing, campaigns, collaterals, training and govern.
  • Respond to market and regulatory requirements.
  • Development of product risk management framework and align to Trade group standard.
  • Mitigate and manage Trade business risks, ensure that the trade product framework as approved is operational.
  • Monitor performance and execution of the framework, by creating operational and product risk metrics to provide adequate controls and partner with Ops Risk and Audit to ensure adherence to the product standards.
  • Conduct regular exposure reviews to monitor the quality of the assets and drive distribution and drive exposure exiting/mitigation plans to avoid losses.
  • Monitor and manage credit impairments and items and attend New Business Approval Committee, Close Monitoring Forum, Watch List and Non-Performing Loans forums.
  • Identify, highlight product performance issues causing service failures and work with the value chain stakeholders to resolve the systemic issues/trends hampering delivery of consistent and reliable service.
  • Engage and influence to ensure alignment of key stakeholders, namely: Sales, Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance and Audit, GM & IB and relevant management committees.
  • Drive exceptional client experience across the product value chain.
  • Partner with Client Coverage and Sales teams to engage with existing and potential clients to assess changing client needs.
  • Provide specialist product knowledge and service to all new and existing clients, and contribute to pitches, proposals and deal structures for product solutions to offer competitive profitable solution to the client.
  • Analyse client data to provide input into client plans and client pricing to capitalise on market share to ensure the retention of sustainable relationships.
  • Set product pricing standards, based on in-depth understanding of product data, client base and business drivers, to secure business in line with the country strategy.
  • Manage pricing concession requests according to pricing standards and levels of authority to achieve sales targets and product profitability.
  • Monitor the market research and analysis trends to develop thorough understanding of market/sector conditions, country market trends, competitor offerings and sector differences.
  • Use data and insights to identify market needs and opportunities for product development and/or enhancements/modifications, to align products to market changes to grow TPS share of wallet and maintain a competitive market advantage for CIB.
  • Continuously drive the implementation of product improvements to deliver an optimal client experience and product value proposition to the market.
  • Guide product innovation and product platform development in collaboration with Product enablement, Information Technology (IT) and Operations to continuously improve the product offering.
  • Drive the product profit and loss, forecasting and planning to achieve targets and budgets.
  • Drive the adoption of profitability standards, application of country pricing guidelines, product pricing trade-off decisions and payment settlement limits to deliver product performance for the country.
  • Evaluate technology enabled client experience through client feedback, system performance and cost against product roadmap and collaborate with product enablement, IT and operations to enhance the product value chain for new and existing products.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Financial, Economics or Information Technology,  Business Commerce
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Transactional Products & Services
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of TPS Trade products, client experience and improving product profitability throughout the product value chain and Product management
  • Additional 1-2 years’ experience in Business Support
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a function or product including planning, budgeting, managing profit and loss, general financial management, relationship management and continuous improvement to drive the success of the business and Business Management
