WE’RE HIRING: Forklift Operators (Warehouse / Yard)

About the Position

Huretek is recruiting experienced Forklift Operators on behalf of its client in Pemba.

The successful candidates will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving goods safely and efficiently within the client’s warehouse and yard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks and containers, and move goods around the warehouse and yard.

  • Stack and store materials correctly, following the warehouse layout and instructions.

  • Carry out daily pre-use inspections of the forklift and report any defects or damage.

  • Follow Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) rules, site traffic regulations and safe lifting practices at all times.

  • Check quantities against delivery documents and report damaged goods.

  • Work closely with the warehouse team, drivers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably in a warehouse, yard, port or logistics company.

  • Valid forklift operator certificate.

  • Valid driving licence is an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of safe load handling and HSE procedures.

  • Physically fit and available to work shifts.

  • Disciplined, careful and reliable.

  • Ability to read and write in Portuguese. Basic English is an advantage.

  • Candidates from Pemba or Cabo Delgado are preferred.
