Role Description:
The HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Officer oversees all HSE aspects across materials testing laboratories, pre-construction activities, and field sites. They ensure compliance with regulatory standards, foster a robust safety culture, and manage environmental impacts for safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement HSE policies and procedures in labs and on-site.
- Conduct risk assessments for chemical handling, equipment use, and site activities.
- Perform regular inspections and audits of labs and pre-construction areas.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff and contractors.
- Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
- Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in materials testing or construction.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
