Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Our client in Tete is looking for Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team for a job vacancy within the Mining Sector.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, wheel loaders, and dump trucks.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using specialized tools and equipment.

• Repair or replace defective engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and other components.

• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards.

• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.

• Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.

• Assist with breakdowns and provide field repair support when necessary.

Requirements:

• Technical diploma/certification in Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field.

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
