Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist to join our team in Maputo, Mozambique.
This is a “true” generalist role covering the entire employee life-cycle. You will be a key part of our dynamic HR team, providing vital support to managers and employees while helping to modernize our functions through digital platforms like MYAHK (BambooHR). From talent acquisition and on-boarding to statutory compliance and performance management, this role offers a diverse and fast-paced challenge for a driven HR professional within our Southern Africa operations.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
Required Knowledge and Work Experience
Essential
- Statutory Reporting: Proven expertise in the completion and timely submission of local compliance plans, including Employment Equity (EE) and Skills Development (SDF) reporting.
- Talent Acquisition: Experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, headhunting, and managing the candidate journey from offer to induction.
- HR Systems: Proficiency in maintaining HR databases (ideally BambooHR) with high data integrity.
- Compliance & Labor Law: Strong knowledge of Mozambique labor legislation, including disciplinary proceedings, IOD claims, and benefits administration (Pension/UIF).
- BEE/Audit Support: Experience assisting with Management Control and Skills Development categories for annual audits.

Required Work Experience
- Demonstrable track record of progression within a HR function.
- Experience managing HR projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Proven experience in developing innovative approaches to complex HR problems.
- Previous experience working within a complex or matrix organizational structure is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field is desirable.
Required Languages
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Travel/ Rotation Requirements
- Travel as needed within Southern Africa.
