CBE Southern Africa pretends to recruit HSE Officers to promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System. The HSE Officer will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, international standards, company policies, and client requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture.
Funções
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and environmental hazards
  • Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses, and recommend appropriate control measures
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, training sessions, and awareness campaigns
  • Ensure the proper use, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Monitor compliance with safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work systems, and other operational safety requirements
Requisitos
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role
  • Experience in construction, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments is highly desirable
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • SAMTRAC
  • First Aid Certification
  • Fire Fighting and Emergency Response Training
  • Incident Investigation Training
  • Internal Auditor Certification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001
