About the Role

Servtec SBM is supporting a major international Oil & Gas environment and is looking for experienced HSE Supervisors to ensure strict HSE compliance and field control across onshore operational activities.

This is a site-based rotation role, requiring strong field presence, discipline, and hands-on supervision.

THIS IS A FIELD ROLE – NOT AN ADMIN POSITION

You are expected to:

  • Be present on site.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviors.
  • Enforce standards without compromise.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, HSE, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years Oil & Gas experience.
  • At least 3 years in environmental/HSE field roles.
  • Proven experience in onshore operational environments (industrial, construction, or Oil & Gas sites).
  • Proven experience in HSE supervision and field enforcement.

TECHNICAL HSE EXPERTISE

Good knowledge of:

  • HSE Management Systems.
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
  • HSE procedures and compliance frameworks.

Familiar with:

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) standards.
  • Environmental surveys and monitoring methodologies.

Experience with:

  • Environmental data monitoring and analysis.
  • Implementation of HSE Management Systems on site.

OPERATIONS & FIELD CONTROL

Conduct:

  • Daily HSE inspections and field observations.
  • Risk assessments (JSA / Toolbox Talks).

Ensure:

  • Compliance with Permit to Work (PTW).
  • Safe execution of site activities.

Identify and act on:

  • Unsafe acts.
  • Unsafe conditions.

INCIDENT & REPORTING

Participate in:

  • Incident reporting and investigations.

Contribute to:

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain accurate:

  • HSE reports.
  • Site documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enforce HSE standards and procedures on site.
  • Supervise contractor activities and ensure HSE compliance.
  • Support implementation of the HSE Management System.
  • Conduct HSE inductions, Toolbox Talks, and awareness sessions.
  • Monitor environmental and safety performance indicators.
  • Ensure alignment between site teams and HSE requirements.
  • Report HSE performance and issues to management.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and safe working environment.

ADVANTAGES (STRONG PLUS)

Experience in:

  • Onshore remote site operations (Africa preferred).
  • Oil & Gas major projects.

Training/Certifications in:

  • EIA methodologies.
  • Environmental monitoring systems.
  • Advanced HSE training programs.
