Our Client is a prestigious company operating in the Oil & Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Answering to the HR Operations Manager, the main activities of the position include: implement and oversee the Project Employee and Industrial Relations strategy; provide expert advice and guidance on industrial and employee relations, compliance policies, and grievance handling; monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Mozambique labor law, IFC requirements (Performance Standard 2), ILO conventions, and project IR management plans; supervise the industrial relations service provider and ensure effective gap analysis of contractor IR practices; prepare written reports on IR activities, risks, and compliance status; develop and maintain policies for industrial and employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures; hold meetings with government authorities, unions, CODIR members, managers, and other stakeholders to discuss IR matters; deliver IR overview presentations to project employees and other relevant stakeholders; support audits, reports, and studies related to industrial relations and follow up on recommendations; provide hands-on support to contractors and subcontractors in meeting statutory and project IR requirements; ensure contractors comply with Local Labor Recruitment Procedures in coordination with the Social Performance team; carry out any other duties as required to meet project objectives.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s degree required; additional qualifications in Business Administration or HR advantageous;
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in HR management, industrial/employee relations, preferably in large projects;
  • Knowledge of Mozambique labor law, HR rules, and processes;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proactive, autonomous, tactful, organized, and customer service oriented;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel;
  • Fluent oral and written knowledge of English and Portuguese required;
  • Mozambican nationality.
