About this offer
Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for:
- Port cranes (RTG, STS, mobile cranes).
- Cargo handling equipment (reach stackers, forklifts).
- Port infrastructure (berths, electrical systems, workshops).
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
- Manage and control the maintenance budget.
- Lead and develop local technical teams and coordinate external contractors.
- Implement and optimize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Monitor maintenance KPIs (downtime, MTBF, MTTR).
- Ensure compliance with international standards and company procedures.
- Support procurement of spare parts and inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in maintenance management (port, mining, or heavy industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of port equipment and maintenance practices.
- Experience working in Africa or remote locations is a plus.
- Fluency in English (Portuguese is an advantage).
