Our client in Pemba is looking for Mining Engineer to join their team within the Mining Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-term and medium-term mine plans in line with production targets.

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance against plan.

  • Conduct resource and reserve reconciliation between geological models and actual production.

  • Optimize mine design, pit layouts, haul roads, and dump locations.

  • Ensure efficient utilization of mining equipment and resources.

  • Collaborate with geology, survey, and operations teams to align production with resource models.

  • Analyze mining data and generate technical reports and performance dashboards.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mining operations or mine planning

  • Experience in open-pit mining operations

  • Proficiency in mining software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, Vulcan, MineSched, or similar)

  • Strong understanding of mine planning, scheduling, and resource modeling

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
