Our client is a prestigious company operating in the Oil&Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Reporting directly to the General Counselor and the VP Legal, the main activities of the job include: to obtain technical information from the engineering team and develop permitting packages for submission to the regulatory authorities and follow up thereafter until the issuance of the permit; to work closely with site teams including engineering, environmental and social to anticipate needs; to organize and participate in site visits with consultants and government officials for field inspection as required; to provide guidance to contractors with permitting processes when and if required; to participate in contractors regular permitting audits; to communicate all permit or license conditions to the permit holder and check up for compliance.

Requisitos

  • Degree or equivalent in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Law, or Science;
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Project permitting experience;
  • Previous experience in similar or associated role(s) on large scale Project(s);
  • Experience in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and/or other relevant business information systems;
  • Excellent English and Portuguese Skills;
  • Excellent working knowledge of legislation, permits, licenses and regulations in Mozambique;
  • Able to engage with Government within Company policies, guidelines and applicable laws;
  • Ability to interface with project teams at site and government officials at, provincial and district level;
  • Able to work independently internally and externally with the organization, while keeping Permitting Lead informed and involved in key decision points;
  • Living in the local area of the job will be an advantage.
