Our client in Maputo is looking for Pharmacy Operations Manager to join their team within the Health Sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of pharmacies and pharmaceutical import operations with national pharmaceutical regulations and legal requirements.
• Supervise the importation process of medicines and pharmaceutical products, ensuring all documentation and approvals are compliant.
• Oversee the technical and operational performance of pharmacies, including storage, distribution, temperature control, and handling of controlled medicines.
• Implement and monitor pharmaceutical quality assurance, product traceability, pharmacovigilance, and recall processes.
• Manage pharmaceutical stock levels and ensure proper control of high-risk and controlled medicines.
• Prepare for and support regulatory audits and inspections, implementing corrective action plans when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Valid registration with the Pharmacists’ Order/Board.
• Additional certifications in pharmaceutical management or regulatory affairs are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation, medicine importation, storage and distribution practices, and pharmaceutical quality management.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in pharmacy, pharmaceutical importation, or regulatory management.
• Experience supervising pharmacies or pharmaceutical distribution operations.
• Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and inspections.
