The QAQC Inspector supports the Production department by executing daily dimensional, physical, and visual inspections on tools, OCTG, BHA, and drilling equipment. Reporting directly to the QAQC Supervisor / Coordinator, the Inspector ensures all shop products strictly comply with client specifications, licensee procedures, and safety standards.
Responsabilidades
- • Interpret engineering drawings and perform thorough dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments (thread ring/plug gauges, micrometers, calipers, indicators, profile projectors, Brinell hardness testing)
- • Conduct comprehensive inspection and traceability documentation for assembly, function testing, and repair of BHA, drill pipes, completion tools, specialty rental tools, and casing/tubing
- • Inspect OCTG premium connections (Tenaris, Vallourec, NOV Grand Prideco) and surface-treated tools (phosphate, cold rolling, sandblasting), providing technical guidance on treatment processes
- • Perform gauge verification, record gauge usage, ensure shop tools are calibrated prior to use, and maintain high standards of housekeeping in the Gauge Room
- • Identify and record non-conforming conditions, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and report any tool discrepancies immediately to the direct Supervisor
- • Ensure complete tool identification, maintain detailed tally and inspection reports, and adhere strictly to PPE requirements, HSE rules, and company code of ethics.
Qualificações
- Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or relevant technical field.
Habilidades e Experiência
- Practical technical experience with OCTG, BHA, Drilling Equipment, and Premium Connections (Tenaris, Vallourec, Grand Prideco).
- Highly proficient in using precision measuring instruments and calibration tools.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and API inspection standards.
- Strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a strict safety-first mindset.
