The Key Purpose of this role is to focus on the execution of ABInBev Safety Standards and Procedures. Manage all Raw Material items for the Packaging – All lines. Manage Raw Material Handling for receiving and issuing of raw materials. Leadership of the VPO Logistic pillar in the Level 1 Packaging Raw Materials Department. Lead the Pack RM Level 1 team in a manner that drives ownership, empowerment and team interaction.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all Packaging raw materials required for production is available at the correct time & in sufficient quantities.
  • To manage & governance control of all Packaging raw materials and M&P’s.
  • To provide accurate and timeous management information to facilitate pro-active decision making by line management. 
  • To provide Packaging Raw Material stock levels to Central Planning weekly.
  • To ensure Material Quality standards are met.
  • To manage and execute AB-INBEV inventory control procedures.

 

Key Attributes and Competencies:

  • Very good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good negotiation skills (negotiate with internal customers and external suppliers). 
  • Methodical, systematic and attention to detail, good administrator. 
  • Above average numerical ability
  • Ability to liaise with all levels in the organisation. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma
  • 3 months on the job training
  • 2 Years raw materials handling experience.  
  • Good understanding of the Brewing & NPD process.
  • Computer literate (MS Office – Excel). 
  • Knowledge of SAP Procurement policies and principles. 
  • Knowledge of AB InBev specific purchasing and stock control procedures
  • Not essential but desirable: B Tech Logistics or Equivalent qualification in Logistics or Commercial
