Our client in Maputo is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Agricultural (Tabacco) Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, focusing on distributor management, retail partnerships, and new market penetration.
- Manage a team of Sales Representatives, providing training, performance feedback, and guidance to ensure productivity and goal achievement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients (distributors, retailers, wholesalers) to enhance loyalty and drive repeat business.
- Monitor regional sales performance, analyzing data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements in all sales activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports for senior management, including forecasts, achievements, and action plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 4+ years of sales experience, with 2+ years in a regional sales management role, preferably in FMCG or tobacco sales.
- Deep knowledge of Mozambican regional markets and distribution networks.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in English and Portuguese required.
- Ability to travel frequently within assigned regions.
