We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Sales Manager with 5–7 years of proven experience in the logistics sector to drive revenue growth, expand our client portfolio, and strengthen our market position across Southern Africa. The ideal candidate will combine commercial acumen with deep industry knowledge, a disciplined approach to sales execution, and the ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders—from freight forwarders and importers to large-scale manufacturers and retailers.
Funções
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives, targeting sectors such as retail, mining, manufacturing, e-commerce, and agribusiness;
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across domestic and cross-border logistics services (including road freight, warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery);
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high retention rates through proactive relationship management and value-added service delivery;
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles—from prospecting and needs analysis to solution design, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure;
- Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and fulfillment, turning sales commitments into operational excellence;
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes in the Southern African logistics landscape to inform pricing, positioning, and service innovation;
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent);
- Mentor and support junior sales staff (if applicable), fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and customer-centricity;
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and generate qualified leads;
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred);
- 5–7 years of direct sales experience in the logistics, freight, or supply chain industry—with a demonstrable track record of exceeding targets;
- Strong understanding of Southern African trade corridors, cross-border regulations, and logistics infrastructure;
- Proven ability to sell complex B2B logistics solutions (not transactional sales);
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English (additional South African languages are an advantage);
- High level of commercial discipline: structured in approach, meticulous in follow-up, and data-driven in decision-making;
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally as required;
